Eligibility Criteria Admissions PGPM 2008

• All applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.
• For PGPM 2008, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept CAT score for the year 2006 and 2007 only. Similarly candidate can submit GMAT score not older than 2005.
• All applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.
• Full time work experience of minimum two years is highly desirable.
• Outstanding graduates with less than two years of experience would be considered on a case to case basis.

Admission Process

• Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply to Great Lakes Institute either by filling an online form or by purchasing the hard copy application form available at the institute.
• Candidates applying online can visit http://www.glakesonline.org/login_data.asp  and can start filling the online application form after making a payment of Rs 900 through credit card.
• Alternatively candidate can make a payment of Rs 900 at the IMS centers to get a form number. IMS will provide the candidate with a brochure and a receipt. The brochure will have a form number printed on it and candidate can use this form number and fill the online application form by visiting http://www.glakesonline.org/login_data.asp .
• Candidate can also apply by filling a hardcopy of the form. He/she can obtain a hardcopy of the form by making a cash payment of Rs 1000 at the Institute or by sending a draft (of Rs 1000) to the Institute. The draft should be in favor of “Great Lakes Institute of Management”, payable at “Chennai”. Additionally two self addressed slips should be sent to the Institute along with the draft so that Institute can send the form and brochure to the candidate at the correct address.

• At the time of admission candidate is required to bring the proof of the payment in the form of credit card statement/IMS receipt/Great Lakes receipt
• Deliver the downloaded Recommendation form to your recommender along with an empty recommendation envelope provided with the brochure or any other white envelope. The recommendation letters have to be put in an envelope, sealed and signed by the recommender.
• Candidates are also requested to quote the application number on the recommendation envelope along with their full name.
• Please do not tamper with the sealed envelope or its contents. The recommendation letter should reach the Great Lakes Office latest by 18th January, 2008.

Evaluation Process

Applicants for admission are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT (2006 & 2007) score, past academic performance, essays and letters of recommendation, and performance in the interview and group discussion.

Letters of recommendation are required to be submitted along with the application package for hard copy applicants. Professional recommendation for candidates with substantial work experience is preferred.
