Hello all, Please help me in solving this problem. A line MN is 10 meters in length and is tangent to one of 2 concentric circles at point A. If it is given that the radii of both the circles are integers, then what is the radius of the inner circle? Thanks in advance. |

MN is the chord of the larger circle?
If not I don’t think the question is complete because it does not make any sense if MN is a line and its 10 m /or anything
I am solving it with the above assumption that MN is the chord of outer circle.
As per the question MN is 10
So MA =5
OMA is a right angled triangle and the possible Pythagorean triplet with 5 is 12 and 13
So the radius of the outer circle is 13 and inner circle is 12.
Not sure If it z correct. .
Even i thought the same. But, incidentally the same solution based on the same assumption that you had taken.
