math question (time,speed and distance)
plz solve this.. (time, speed and distance) A starts from a point that is on the circumference of a circle, moves 600metre in the North direction and then again moves 800metre East and reaches a point diametrically opposite the starting point.Find the diameter of the circle? (ans-1000m) if get solve, then explain too... thank you.

Well ,
Diameter makes an angle of 90 anywhere on circle , so 600 and 800 are the 2 sides of equilateral triangle . So diameter ( 3rd side )= 1000 .
May be you meant a right angle trinagle thoguh I will take your answer

600m, 800m and the diameter of the circle forms the right angle triangle within a semi circle i.e. whose hypotonuse is diametre of the circle, and two legs are the chords of the circle. use pythagorous theorem and get the answer
Its not a equilateral triangle...the two sides are 600 and 800.
So i think right angle is the correct word to use...
