Directions:

While walking along the railway tracks from VT to Thane, I observe that a train from VT to Thane overtakes me every 10 minutes and a train from Thane to VT passed me every 8 minutes. Trains start from Thane and VT terminals at the same regular frequency and run at the same speeds.

Q1. At what frequency (after how many minutes) do the trains start from the terminals
1. 9 mins
2. mins
3. mins
4. mins

Q2.  If a person is sitting in a train from Thane, with what frequency (after how any minutes) would a train from VT pass him?
1. 9 mins
2. mins
3. mins
4. mins

Q3. What is the ratio of my speed of walking to the speed of the train
1. 9 : 1
2. 8 : 1
3. 10 : 1
4. 11 : 1

Ans for the frst question is

Ans for the frst question is : 9 mins, cuz : As the man is moving in the direction of Thane, also the spped of the trains is 9 times that of man; Avg of 10 and 8 is 9, the ans has to in btw both the values.

Ans for the second : 9 mins, as he can only see the trains coming from VT (Constant Speed), it would definitely be same as the frequency of the trains.

Ans : 9:1, slove the below expr :
(t-m)10 = (t+m)8
