Soln. 90% to 20% =>weight loss 7/9 x 100 =77.77%
For 20 kg weight loss:20 x 7/9=2.2 x 7 =15.4kg.
weight cmes:4.6kg.
So i think (d) None of this is correct....

(918 x 1.2) / 0.85 = 1296
marked price shd be Rs. 1296
Let CP = X SP = Y
.75 Y - X = .25 X
=>.75 Y = 1.25 X
=>Y/X = 5/3
When disc = 10% SP = 0.9 * 5 = 4.5 and CP = 3
Profit = 1.5/3 = 50%

ANS: A tradesmen by means of his false balance defrauds to the extent of 20% in buying potatoes
=> while buying potatoes, he buys 120 units (gm/kg whatever) while paying for only 100 units
A tradesmen by means of his false balance defrauds to the extent of 20% by selling potatoes
=> while selling potatoes, he sells 80 units (gm/kg whatever) while receiving money for 100 units.
So he makes a profit of 40 units by selling 80 units of potatoes
=> % profit = 50%
