well i want to know which topics i have to cover in mensuration..and plzz give some idea as which topic is more important for cat geometry or mensuration...
In CAT anything that can be solved just by using a formula is not given. They test your concepts & aptitude. Geometry is more about applying the concepts than mensuration, where its more formula-centric. But there are mensuration questions which are much more than formula application. Get an idea of both the topics but give more stress on Geometry. Thats my take. Regards, Rahul
If you were never good in geometry in school then leave it for CAT.
Oflate the questions on geometry ‘er very tough. .even with good concept and knowledge in geometry you might not able to attempt all the questions on geometry, forget about getting a correct and the number of questions asked on geometry in last 4-5 years are just 2-3. . So consider all these facts before starting your preparation for Geometry
thanxxxxxxxxx dipanjan,,,well would u plzz suggest that from which year book that is class X or class Xii mathematics...must be studied as for goemetry and mensuration...
Class X level books are really very helpful to clear d concept.... After completing ds i am suggesting u to cover at least one book among (i)Nishit Sinha (ii)Arun Sharma (iii)P. Pandey
Dn move on doing CAT problems....
For Mensuration I thnk P.Pandey is best..Bt never forget to check ur basic once more....
Apart from ds i suggest you not to skeep Geometry...Just do practise..Put xtra effort..You can really manage it easyly... Go thru the previous CAT papers..U will find at last 25-30% qs come from ds section... Happy learning....
Giv ur best to d world. Nd d best will cm back to u...
