All these rankings are created by coaching centers and media. . No one ‘ll prefer a MICA/ or a IIFT to an IIM, because they want to a specialization.

Specialization is not that important and student’s hardly join an industry on the basis of their specialization.

Discussion on all these things are a waste of time, so guys don’t make this place another forum for gadhas and pagals :-)))

Please do ask some questions on maths/di/English that ‘ll be of more help.

Your reply is very immature. With an IIM diploma you can get a high paying job but to stay put and keep performing you have to have the attitude and the right mentors. And with this kinda attitude one does not go through to any one of the top B-schools. You ought to know what you want and which is the best place to get it. As for your "everyone knows this"...You may be very well informed about which school is best in what, but there are a few of us who are not and i feel the community was for helping the uninformed ones. As for specialization, you cannot expect to join an IT company or for that matter a Financial intitution with an agri diploma/degree from IIM-A. And these are among the high paying industries... i repeat "high pay", which is what ignorant people like you are interested in. Anyways thanks for your time to reply to the forum but please avoid insulting arguments like these in future.

u can discuss ds,Cz its related wd MBA...Ds is also an important discussion regardin our target...Bt wat i feel also if u get chance in IIMs/XLRI at dt point of time also u l b ready to join in MICA?

Specialization is reqd bt if u r really devoted 4 one specialozation dn its ok...Bt otherwise i do feel u hv to target 4 d best B-SCHOOL nd aught to grab d best opportunity...

Sorry for my previous comment if you guys feel that the message was not in right spirit.

Let me put it this way, for 80% Students, preparing for MBA, what it matters is the B School name not the specialization.

For 80% Students, studying MBA in first year, what it matters is specialization & Industry not the salary.

Securing admission in a gud b-school is not only about clearing the written; you have other hurdles like GD/PI and the first things that r asked in a PI are most probably... why do you want to do an MBA? What do you have in mind? What have you planned in future for yourself? why do you want to secure admission in this particular b-school?... once you know the strenghts of the b-school you can mould your answers accordingly... my question was with respect to b-schools not w.r.t. specializations...
Like what is the speciality of IIM-A, IIM-B,.. C,L,I,K..., FMS, JBIMS, SPJAIN, ISB?

In which u r dwelin its look like its a forum on debate...No my frnds its a forum of discussion 4 our best....I thnk sm consolidated msgs r reqd frm all of us[as only 2msgs hv cm on ds regard]...If smone can find d soln. of it plz represnt it in comprehnsive manner....
