CAT Preparation for 2008
I'm a commerce graduate studnt doin CA. Recently i've jst joind TIME classes 4 CAT & I knw i hav 2stdy hard & practise & practise da probs bt I jst wana knw dat wud it b ok if i limit my study 2 da portion & probs of classes - mean ne othr knwledge other dan books of classes is reqd for CAT?? I wud also like 2knw dat how da markin scheme is taken 2consideration to calculate percentile?? pls help me out.

See as far as the CAT written is concerned there is no general knowledge/awareness question but once you clear that you shoild have knowledge about what going around you for clearing GDs. Moreover in other entrance exams apart from CAT you need to have sound GK as it is asked in those exams.

See pecentile simply tells how many ppl are behind u..
suppose in any exams the total maximum marks is 100 and among all the test taker a candidate gets the highest marks among all,let it be 81.
So the %age of marks obtained by him be 81%,but as i told earlier also that %tile tell us how many ppl r behind u so in this case he obtains the highest marks and all the other test takers are behind him his %ile will be 100.
