Starting with CAT preparation!
Hi Divyanash,
Well to start your preparation first make up your mind to dedicate 2 hours of your time for this and only this.....
Next comes the will power and determination which will give you confidence to start ur full fledged preparation...
Books are many but to start with you can buy Quantum Cat by sarvesh kumar verma...(Arihant Publication)....This book is really good for beginners....It will give u in detail concept of all topics of CAT and other entrance exam...you will also find questions of all difficulty levels which will make your basics stronger....
Then later you can take admission in some institute like Times or IMS or Career Launcher depending on which is best in your city...The materials they will give is also beneficial as it will cover all topic in detail.....
Last but not the least is your own hard work which will pay you...Practice , Practice and Practice can make your perfect...You have no other choice if you want to "BELL THE CAT".... From 2009 CAT will go online so you will have to know how to take online tests.....Its better you start taking the FLT's here in this site....
If you have anything else you can always leave a message here....I will be online regularly and can guide you with anything in my reach....Take care bro....
Tanu....

@dev and Tanushreedi
@Tanushreedi
You have really changed yourself...Now I am seeing a serious CAT winner..But according to a IIM ppl he told me not to take CAT so seriously dt It becomes DO OR DIE..But if you have this then plz dont carry it in the exam hall(I am just conveying wat he said)
Whatso ever I want to see you as a person who belled the CAT..I know I will see.But tell us something about DI/V.A.
@Divyanishi
You have plenty amount of time in your hand.So at first take sometime to ensure urself why you want this,where you want to see yourself.Dont bother about other's opinion..Do practise well..It may be within this 1.5 yr there may be some termoids
in your life(Praying for you to d GOD it should not come),but dont be defocused(as it was in the case of mine)..Always keep on posting where you got stucked.
Q.A.:
(i)A.Sharma
(ii) Nishit Sinha
(iii)Pradip Pandey
(iv)Study material of IMS( i am prescibing this to clear your basic)
Dont know too much about S.K.Verma..But heard that it is pretty good..
V.A.

(ii)Wren and Martin grammar
(iii)Norman Lewis Word Power made easy
D.I.:

Devyanshi,i think its is
Devyanshi,i think its is too early to start preparing for CAT 09. I don't think it will be wise enough, you will waste your energy and as I believe to get into anything you need to have passion and if you put all your energy at this point of time only ,you will be exhausted till the D-Day.
Hit it with high impulse.You have plenty of time at you disposal.Utilize it in a proper manner .First go through the basics, make sure you have understood the concept of the chapter once you complete it. As youleft maths after 10th,so 1st start with R.S .Aggarwal. And side be side try to develop your reading skills .First pick novels of the type and topic you enjoy reading and next proceed to variety of subjects like literature,philosophy etc etc.
But above all these go through the previous CAT papers try to be familier with the patterns and the questions asked in it. Try to go through the editorial section of good enlish newspapers ,try to increase your word-bank.
Remember..!! you can't write an essy without knowing the alphabets. So,polish your basics.That can't be overlooked.
Hope you come with flying colors,
ALL THE BEST....
Shivani
