Q2. In a paint factory a 5000 lit batch of Enamel is produced. The specified specific gravity of this coating is 1.00, but as per quality control testing it was 0.99. A corrective mixture of specific gravity 1.2 was added to increase the specific gravity of coating to 1.00. How many liters of corrective mixture were added?
a. 250 lit b. 260 lit c. 210 lit d. 300 lit
Sol.
Ratio of quantity of corrrective mixture to initial quantity of mixture = (1.00 - 0.99)/(1.20 - 1.00)
x/5000 = 1/20
x = 250
Ans. a
Q1. How many different 4 digit numbers which are multiple of 4 are possible in the base system 5 using digits 0, 1, 3 and 4 only once?
a. 0 b. 12 c. 18 d. 24
Soln. As its in base 4 system so 0,1,3,4 will be unchanged.
so, for 1st digit from rihgt we can only put 1,3,4.....For unit digit we can only put 0,4 for tens digit we can put 0,4 only.....
As digits will not b repeated so no. of ways = 3 x 1 x 2 x 2= 12.
Accordin to me (b) 12 is the right option....Let me know i4iim whether its correct or not.......
