How many 6-digit numbers contain exactly 4 different digits?
can anyone solve this...............
i want the whole logic and explanation for this problem.................
help me out plz
ABCDEF is the 6 digit no. where any two are equal.
Now, if A=B
The total no.s are=9^2*9*8*7*6=9^3*8*7*6
If other than the above possibility.
The total no.s in each case are:
9*9*9*8*7*6=9^3*8*7*6
In this way we can write 5C2*9^3*8*7*6
Total no.s are 9^3*8*7*6(5C2+1)=9^3*11*8*7*6....
