Please solve the qs 31 of number system
N is a number which
when divided by 10 gives 9 as the reminder
when divided by 9 gives 8 as the reminder
when divided by 8 gives 7 as the reminder
when divided by 7 gives 6 as the reminder
when divided by 6 gives 5 as the reminder
when divided by 5 gives 4 as the reminder
when divided by 4 gives 3 as the reminder
when divided by 3 gives 2 as the reminder
when divided by 2 gives 1 as the reminder
when divided by 10 gives 9 as the reminder
what is N?
a. 2519 b. 841 c. 839 d. 2521
This kind of problms is vry easy to solve....
If u see the diff between remainder and divisor remains same for all cases. Then apply ths formula
(L.C.M of divisors) - diff between remainder & divisor
Accordin to ds method N = (L.C.M of 2,3,4...10) - 1
= 2520 - 1 = 2519
So option (a) is correct one.....
Now tell me whether im correct or nt....

see the LCM 2520 is divisible by all the numbers form 2 to 10.
Now stop here.Just think what will be the previous number divisible by 10 it will be 2510.So add the remainder (i.e 9 ) to this you will get 2519.Project and check this for other numbers.Happy math!!
U dont need to add...You hv just to subtract the diff betwn the divisor & remainder from the dividend.........
Try it by takin very easy eg...Its very easy to grab the concept behind it...

I think here if we use a bit of elimination process the answer resolves easily.
Just 2 steps.
1. when divided by 10 gives 9 as the reminder
so our options narrowes down to option 1:2519 and option3:839
now
2. Just check either of them which satisfies the next case
when divided by 9 gives as the remainder ,which in case 839 option 3 voids
thus narrowing down the option 1:2519.
of course we can solve this problem by various ways ..................just my opine ........................................DrEaMcAtChEr
