According to meThe content

According to me
The content of S.K.Verma is good. But its not actually upto CAT level. If u ar a novice or just venturing into CAT Q.A. then it's ok.
Kundan Pandey is also a good book with lots of qs.Some qs really demand good analytical skills and good command over the topic.
But according to me Nishit Sinha is the best option.

Regards,
Dipanjan......

Yes Dip is right. . .both

Yes Dip is right. . .both the books are good but for beginners. . Most of the questions are like what u ‘ll find in any coaching center material (i.e not up to the CAT standard). .not the mock type questions. .

Anyhow Nishit Sinha is a better options if you have completed your basics. .but then In Sinha, u wont find solutions . .which of course u can ask here. .

S.K verma /Nishit Sinha

Since I am a beginner, so I can very well say that S.K verma is a Good option as it takes through details and basics of all topics... The problems mentioned in this book is of course not up to CAT level but yes there are different levels of questions from Easy, Average and ough....

I have started practising from N. Sinha also and found that the problems are standard....You can actually go for Nishit Sinha if you are done with your Basics...

There is also another book "Quantitative Aptitude" by Trishna Publications, this is also good and there are varieties of problems of all Levels...

Just go as per your requirement.... If you want standard probs opt for Nishit Sinha and if you want to start from Basics then S K verma is not a bad option...

Regards
Tanu

One More....................

The question is:
Sanjay wound a piece of string over a cylinderical block around its curved surface , and found that the string could be wound for exactly half a round more than an integral number of rounds. He also figured that if the string had been five times as long, the string would have had wound for excatly 10cm more than integral number of the rounds. Find the radius of the cylindrical block.(Assume that all windings are done in the same plane and neglect any increase in the radius due to the winding of the string).
