How to Start? What to say? What if you read well, honed your conversation skills but still you get across a topic which you are not comfortable with.
Starting: Sometimes we barely mumble while starting the GD. We are at loss of words on how to start. A typical example is “Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all of you (maintain eye contact with all)”. I would like start/ (I would like to go first) on the discussion of this topic. According to me……….
1. You don’t have substantial knowledge: Be the first one to go. Share your views in a confident manner, maintain your composure. Stress out the point you think is important, don’t go over enthusiastic and repeat your points - it’s a group discussion and you are a part of that group so don’t waste group’s time by increasing your repetitive air time.
