MOCK CAT II

Thanks for the paper. It was not very unique (in fact I felt Mock 1 ‘s a pattern was a better one) but the questions were up the level : not so difficult and not so easy.

The Analysis given at the end was quite impressive.
I have few doubts Q31, 32, 33 . . .

Can I get the answers and solutions?

n/a

answers are

32. C
33. C

Solutions please

Q 33. . . time taking

We ‘ll count from out side rectangle that is 1 2 3 4 5 10 15 20 . . .11 6 And will consider handshakes only with next inner side i.e 7 8 9 . .17 12. There by we ‘ll avoid counting the same hand shake twice.

First consider the students standing at 4 corners 1, 5, 25 and 21.
Hand shakes = 4 (1 with 7, 5 with 9 and so on)
6, 11, 16 ‘ll have 2 hand shakes each = 6
2 one hand shake | 3 & 4 ‘ll have 2 hand shakes each = 5
10 one hand shake | 15 & 20 ‘ll have 2 hand shakes each = 5
23 two hand shakes | 22 & 24 ‘ll have 1 hand shake each = 4
Next let’s go to the second rectangle
First the four corners
7, 9, 19, 17 ‘ll have 1 hand shake each = 4
12= 2 , 8 = 1 and 14 = 1 hand shakes Total = 4
So possible number of hand shakes = 4 + 6 + 5 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 32
Question 48 answer

please solve Q48

The unit digit in the product (5 + 1)(53+ 1)(56 + 1)(512 + 1) is

  • a. 6
  • b. 5
  • c. 2
  • d. 1
unit digit of 5 to any power

unit digit of 5 to any power is always 5

so uint digit of each of the term (5 + 1), (53+ 1), (56 + 1), (512 + 1) is 6

and (any number of digits)6 x (any number of digits)6 = (Something)6
