Hey SatyaWelcome to the
Hey Satya
Welcome to the party!!
There is a road out, but you will face many obstacles along the way.
And it would be of great help if you can maintain a to-do list and share it with others - the way you approach CAT 2008, the range of elucidation to the hindrances you face during the course of preparation and the methodology you adapt to enhance your scores.
CAT is definitely not the toughest journey if you approach it with courage and dedication.
My mantras
1. Right Attitude
No Negatives
Never in your wildest dreams think that - “I can’t achieve”. Fear comes in many different forms, but the fear of failure can really stop your forward progress.
2. Strong Basics
It’s like “Either you have it or you don’t”
If you don’t - then please go back to your school days and complete the unfinished task.
The way CAT has changed in last couple of years; you can’t do anything with superficial knowledge of tricks, short cuts and formulas.
3. Staying Focused
The road to success requires focus. You really need to stay on the path. Working people might find its tough giving equal time each day but then you have to prioritize things and have to devotee some time every day towards your CAT target.
4. Practice & Practice
Once you have done with your basics the only other job left is practice. Solve all kind of questions you come across.
In the age of internet there is no dearth of quality questions. In this site CAT4MBA there are plethoras of questions for all mba exams. Solve all of them on your own and discuss all your doubts.
Finally have faith on your abilities.
Best of Luck Guys

Hi Incognito, You had mailed
Hi Incognito,
You had mailed me with a detailed stats of the premier training institutes(IMS,TIME & CL).According to your mail,it seemed that TIME/CL was better than IMS.
Since then I have asked my friends as well as my seniors, what i have come to infer is that
1.IMS---English is the best
2.TIME---DI/LR is the best
3.Quant --- All the three are good.
4.MOCK CATs ---TIME is the best,as one my seniors told that their prediction(sort of) is thebest.
But I have seen ERUDITE materials, their Quant and DI/LR material is very very good,
The way I will be approaching CAT2008 will be joining any institute(I am staying in Bangalore,so most probably TIME) and getting materials of other institute. Also, browsing through this site regularly. In addition to these my humble suggestion is
a.For Quant ---follow Sarvesh Verma and Nishit Sinha also
b.LR ----follow NIshit Sinha also.
Lets join our hands and march ahead towards CAT,2008.
I will also ask Mr.Mohanty to suggest us what should be the choice of institiutes, sine,he has already mede it through.
By the way, where are you people from?
Happy Pujas!!!

Hi All
Hi All
About me
I am working in an IT company and my aim/goal/lakhya z CAT 2008.
My plan
We have almost 12 months for the preparation.
For next 6 months I am going to concentrate mainly on building the basics and after that . . (‘ll decide later )
So here are my suggestions
1. Lets find out all the topics on quants.
2. Divide it into some equal parts (say 12).
3. We make a target of 15 days for covering one chapter.
4. In the first 4-6 days we ‘ll discuss the basic concepts and ‘ll go through the fundamental details.
5. After that we ‘ll solve all the questions in this site, Nishit sinha, Arun Sharma, IMS, CL, TIME etc.
I am looking for some serious guys . . and hoping those who are appearing CAT 2007 ‘ll also help us.
