Probability of sucess =

Your answer is correct but a more general method is

Probability of sucess = 1/2

Probability of failure = 1/2

The probability of m successes in n trials where a is the probability of success and b is probability of failure is     nCm am bn-m

So it is 3C10 (0.5)10

One more probability question

P is product of three natural numbers. What is the probability that P is divisible by 10?
a. 0.451

b. 0.271

c. 0.4874

d. 0.427

answer

prob of head(success)=3/4 prob of tail(failure)=1/4 becoz prob of head+prob of tail=1 now we want 5 heads out of 10 trails therefore: prob=(10C5)((3/4)^5)(1/4)^5)
