hello sir,
i have joined career launcher and in 3rd year of engg.
i will be giving CAT-2008.
actually the problem which i m facing is in english. my reading speed is not up to the mark and want desperately
to improve the same.
plz suggest some techniques to improve the reading speed and some good tactics for whole english section too.
what should be one's scale of reading words/min. to crack CAT.also suggest some good book on RC.

I don’t understand why students ask this same question of reading speed again and again. The way CAT has changed in last couple of year’s speed is totally an irrelevant factor. Instead of worrying about speed try to improve your overall knowledge in English And for that you need to do at least 2 things regularly for next 6-8 months
1. Read good materials for at least 1/1 and half hour daily.
2. Watch good discussions in English news channels for (like CNBC. . etc not some thing like NDTV)
While reading try to grasp the literal meaning and authors sense about each and every word. Never try to skip a line/word if u doesn’t understand it.
