Q1. Suppose that a three digit number, N, has tens digit equal to 9. If the digits of N are reversed, then the new number is 198 larger than N. If the sum of the digits of N equals 17, find N. Q2. what is the remainder when f(x) is divided by g(x).
Q3. Suppose a forest fire spreads in a circle with the radius changing at the rate of 2 meters per minute. When the radius reaches 80 meters, at what rate is the area of the burning region increasing? |

Q1. Suppose that a three digit number, N, has tens digit equal to 9. If the digits of N are reversed, then the new number is 198 larger than N. If the sum of the digits of N equals 17, find N.
three digit number=abc here b=9 so number is 100a+90+c and reversed nu. 100c+90+a
so subtract two eq.=100c+90+a-(100a+90+c)=198
so 99c-99a=198 so c-a=2 and summation of a+c=8 so u find digit c and a, 5and 3
so N=593
Little Star
n/a
Q2. what is the remainder when f(x) is divided by g(x).
f(x) = x4 + 8x3 + 12x2; g(x) = x + 1
Soln. put x=-1
Remainder 1-8+12=5.......

rate of increase= 2*3.14*r*dr/dt
1004.8 m^2/min
