I saw your score card. . nice numbers but r you able to find out why you got only one IIM call. .
Your aim is only IIM or you are also considering S. P. Jain and MDI. .
DI was a bit easy and I guess must have done something silly to get 84.79 %tile. . btw I am very week in English (this time got only 67%. .99+% in other two..no iim call).. . any tips/suggestions for EU section. .
After gettin ur result n othrs...As u hv performd really well in Quant(which was toughest),....Thr s no doubt dt u cn also score ovr 95%tile in ds yr...Bt i thnk evry one shud giv equal tim 4 each section (i.e 40 mnts each) thn by the rest 30 mnts shud be divided like
15 mnts fr easiest then 10 fr medium nd 5 fr toughtst..it wud work...What u thik Rajesh?
As u might hav observed 60% of the questions are on RC's,
so i made it a point to answer as many rc's as possible-
It's all about selecting the right qtions to answer
my tips on RC's-
1.Read the 1st n last para of the passage this gives u the gist of the passage,
u can answr all the common qtions lik,authors view,probable title of passage..etc.
Practice this n u will b sure of answring atleast 1/5 qtions in rc's.
2.Then try 2 figure out all the direct qtions(whose answers r directly mentioned in the passage)..all u need 2 do is find the key word being askd.
3.Then comes the indirect/inferential qtions(which r most predominant in CAT),,,figure out the available data to answr the qtion,as u know the gist of the passage..try to think in the lines of the author.Remember that the only basis of ur inference should be the RC provided to you n not ur personal knowledge.Check out the options,the one tht fits in the whole context prevails.
U may not get quick results in RC's(but then got no othr choice [:)] )
n yes,analyse each n every qtion that u attempted vry vry careeully..
if u answrd a qtion rightly,look at ur aproach n the aproach given in the solutions.
if u answrd a qtion wrongly,look into why u went wrong..
ur soln. a bit new..Nd may b reliable...I wud try to implement ds...Nd i follow underline the sentencs 4m where the qs may cm....What wud b d approach regardin VERBAL REASONING section....
Plz stay wd us n keep in tuch..Ur suggestion tips wud b valuable 4 many a candidates...
