i have simplest method
As the quantity is increasing by 25% so it has decresed by 20%
here in 4 the 25% increase is equal to 400
so 100% is 2000 which is IV one
and then we roll back decreasing the quantity by 20% ie 1/5
and get the 2nd quantity

Hi, Solution to this problem can be found very easily,
Let 1st issue have x pages.
Then 2nd issue will have 1.25x pages, 3rd will have (1.25)2x pages, 4th will have (1.25)3x pages.
Similarly, 5th edition will have (1.25)4x pages
Find Difference between (1.25)4x and (1.25)3x and equate to 500 to get value of x.
then for getting pages in 2nd edition, we have to find the value of 1.25x
Although, its the simplest method, yet long. If anyone can tell me a simple way out, it would be appreciated.
Thanks :)
