A scientist "SAM" arrived late in his lab and found
that in his watch, the
minute hand and the hour
hand were coming together
every 65 min. Was his watch
gaining or losing time and by how much per
hour?

to meet again,they should cover 360 degree distance.
actual time taken to meet two hands= 360/5.5 =65.45
but the scientist's watch meeting earlier by 0.45 min ..means it is gaining time by 0.45 min in 65.45 min
=.> in one hour its gaining= 0.45 *60/65.45 min = 0.41 min
